Arts & Crafts Circle
The Arts & Crafts Circle of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church meets the first Tuesday and the third Thursday of each month. This group meets to work on crafts for the Annual Bazaar which is held the first Thursday of November. Along with the bazaar, a luncheon and bake sale is held. The response to donate baked goods for the bake sale this year was overwhelming!
The funds raised through the Bazaar support missions in our church including Vacation Bible School, Workcamp, Linus Project (quilts for sick and needy children), Fellowship Hall kitchen supplies and other ministries as needed.
We always welcome new members. You don’t have to be a crafter, just come for the fellowship.
La Leche League of Canonsburg-Cecil
Hosted at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, La Leche League meets to provide encouragement and information to women interested in breastfeeding through mother-to-mother networking. Babies and children are always welcome. A lending library on a variety of parenting topics is available at meetings. Meetings begin at 10AM the second Tuesday of each month. Please join us!
Monday Crew
Have a passion for basic do-it-yourself repairs? Love to keep things tidy and organized? The Men and Women of Monday Crew meet every Monday morning from 9AM-Noon and have done great work for CUPC since the group was organized in February 2000. The crew spends time in fellowship and performs minor repairs around the church. Additional duties include cleaning the hillside behind the Christian Education Building, changing assorted light bulbs, wiring and installing various lighting and other projects upon request. In the past few years, this crew continues with minor repairs and general upkeep of the Church buildings. Anyone who would like to contribute their time and talents is most welcome to join the Monday Crew.
