God Is Doing A New Thing

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." - Isaiah 43:19

Dear Friends,

In just one week…

It's absolutely unfathomable for most of us to have imagined this week, isn't it? I've gone back and forth about whether or not it was necessary, as a pastor, to speak directly to the events that took place last Wednesday in the Capitol. But so far, I haven't found the words necessary. We have seen what we have seen. You don't need me to tell you what you have seen.

The question before us, both individually and corporately, is what we will do with what we have seen, how we will live, and love, in light of what we have seen. How will we follow Jesus?

Sunday, from Psalm 27, we looked at some of that. And this coming Sunday, we'll look at more of that from John's gospel in chapter 8 (verses 31-47). How we live, how we discern, how we move forward, faithfully following Jesus in a highly charged, highly divided world. That's what we're all trying to figure out, isn't it? Jesus speaks to that.

But what I really wanted to share today, is a mite bit different. I want to make sure you're aware that there's more than one way to view our worship services, Kenton's special concert, and some other videos as well. While we've developed quite a following on Facebook and have lots of engagement - we're also on YouTube! And for some of you, that might be an easier option. For our family, when we gather together to worship, getting our YouTube channel up on the TV is SO much better than crowding around a tiny screen to join via Facebook.

Right now, we're not live at 8:30 or 11:00 AM on YouTube. We are currently recording and then re-broadcasting the service, which usually lands on our YouTube channel before 11:00 AM on Sundays. As we continue to move forward though, we are looking at being live on YouTube as well! For those that don't feel comfortable gathering in-person, or who are unable, we want to make it as easy as possible to stay connected and continue to grow in Jesus with us!

So, if you're not already, subscribe to our YouTube Channel - once we get over 100 subscribers, we can make it even easier to find and broadcast our content! Even if you'd prefer to use Facebook, simply subscribing to our YouTube Channel will be a huge help!

God's doing a new thing… actually, God's doing a lot of new things and we're trying to get on board with what God's doing, finding new ways to share the good news and help people grow in Jesus. In these difficult and troubled times, it's even more important to use every avenue we can to encourage and strengthen people. Thanks for all your help in the mission!

Welcoming You (tube) to Grow in Jesus,

Pastor Don
