Our church relies on its ordained and lay staff members as well as its volunteers to carry out our mission here at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. We are blessed by these dedicated individuals and the talents and gifts the Lord provides them to serve in ministry.

Rev. Don Coleman - Pastor & Head of Staff
I am a native Canadian, who heard God's call to leave home and attend Roberts Wesleyan College outside Rochester, NY. It was there, in the midst of studying, running track and worshipping that I met and fell in love with Bridgette. We married and moved to Los Angeles, CA, where God's call lead me to serve in Youth Ministry at Bel Air Presbyterian Church. After four years, we moved to New Jersey to attend Princeton Theological Seminary. My first call was as an Associate Pastor for Adult Discipleship, Missions and Membership at Liberty Presbyterian Church in Delaware, OH. In February of 2014, I accepted the call to Pastor Canonsburg UP and began ministering in April 2014.
We brought with us our 3 children - Brennan (2006), Aidan (2008) and Bria (2010). When not wrestling with them, I love to watch good movies and television shows with Bridgette, cook up some fun food in the kitchen and get outside for sports and adventure. I continue to be excited about what God is doing in my life and the opportunity I have to share it with the Church and our world. I am particularly passionate about people and helping them discover and grow their faith in Jesus, particularly through short-term mission trips, Bible studies and weekly worship.
Director of Pastoral Care
I began working at the church in 2005. My primary responsibility is to visit with church members and friends of our church. I enjoy getting out to see folks whether they are at home, in the hospital or in a nursing home. It is important to me that members who are unable to attend our church still feel connected and cared about.
My husband, John, and I have two sons, Andrew and Ryan. We also have two dogs, Max and Toby.
Director of Family Ministry
I have been a member at Canonsburg UP Church since 1999. I have a Bachelor's in Special Education from Penn State University and previously worked as a director of a Childcare Learning Center in McMurray for over 22 years. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Dave, and we have four great kids – Cody, Tanner, Logan, and Carly. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, playing games and hanging out with family.
I am thankful that God has opened this door and thrilled to serve this church and its youth and families. I am excited for new opportunities to serve and welcome people to grow in Jesus.
Director of Communication and Scheduling
I've been serving in ministry with CUPC since 2008. My role is to provide communication support for the church's many ministries and activities through various channels including the bulletin, newsletter, website, and social media. It's a blessing to serve this faith community.
In my personal time, I enjoy listening to music, traveling to new places, and spending time with my husband, children, family and friends.
I started as the Interim Choir Director in the Fall of 2013 and was added to the staff permanently in June of 2014. I am the Director of the Chancel Choir and Bell Choir and oversee the Cherub Choir and Brass Ensemble. When not making a joyful noise unto the Lord, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ian, our dog Zoe and doing crafts of all kinds.
I am a lifelong resident of Canonsburg and was born and baptized in this church. I began serving in ministry in 1974. I graduated from Canon McMillan HS in 1973 and from W&J in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
I consider my church family as my personal family. Serving our Lord and our congregation has been the greatest joy of my life.
I have lived in Canonsburg all my life. I am a graduate of Canon McMillan School District, St. Anthony’s School Programs and the Hiriam G. Andrews Center of Johnstown, PA. I’ve attended Canonsburg U.P. Church since I was born. I take care in making the Sanctuary look presentable for worship of the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ.
